After-school enrichment (ASE) at Green Valley offers a diverse range of activities designed to ignite creativity, spark curiosity, and develop new skills. From arts and crafts to science experiments, and sports, there’s something for everyone! Led by passionate instructors, our program provides a fun and engaging environment where kids can explore their interests, make new friends, and continue learning outside the classroom. Whether they’re trying something completely new or honing an existing talent, our enrichment activities help students grow, build confidence, and have a great time along the way!

ASE classes are taught by independent vendors. ASE is NOT affiliated with Green Valley Elementary School, PTA or Learning Fund. 

ALL participants will be required to abide by a ASE code of conduct.

This is a total Spanish Immersion STEAM class. Come join the "fiesta" and learn Spanish, dance, theater, and art while building language skills, creativity, confidence, communication, collaboration, and cultural awareness, in a fun and engaging way! In this class students will learn and do the basics (ABC's, numbers, colors), vocabulary, conversational phrases, plays, little books, songs, art projects and more.

n Build, Code & Innovate: Robotics Academy, children will discover the exciting world of robotics by designing, building, and programming robots to complete fun, hands-on challenges. Students will explore engineering concepts such as gears, motors, sensors, and simple machines while learning coding through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Beyond building and coding, students will think like engineers by improving their robot designs, creating original solutions to open-ended challenges, and refining their programs through testing and innovation.

Advanced students will spend additional time developing their programming skills by writing more sophisticated code, solving increasingly complex robotic challenges, and optimizing their robots to complete multiple missions. Along the way, students will watch engaging proprietary videos, participate in quizzes, and reinforce their learning through our educational app and games. As they build, test, improve, and innovate, they will develop creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while gaining confidence as tomorrow's engineers and innovators.

Mindfulness for kids is about teaching them to be present and aware of their thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, helping them to choose their reactions instead of acting impulsively. It involves slowing down, focusing on the present moment, and paying attention to their breath and senses.                                         Kindness for kids: For kids, kindness means being nice and helpful to others, showing care and respect, and doing things that make people feel good.        

Yoga for kids: For kids, yoga is a fun way to move your body, breathe deeply, and learn to be mindful, helping you feel good and calm, and building strength and flexibility.

In this class, students will learn about the basics of the fast moving game of flag football. The skills of running, jumping, starting, stopping and change of direction will all be incorporated into each class. This is a great fit for students who have played flag football before, are intrigued to learn a new game or want a fresh and fun way to improve their athletic skills. There is no better way to spend an afternoon outside, with friends and getting some exercise.

From complete beginners to those with some lacrosse know-how, everyone will build confidence and skills while having a blast!

In this class, students will be introduced to the great game of golf. Golf can have a lasting impact far beyond this class, as it is one of sports you can play your entire lifetime. Golf is an active sport, however it has less impact on the body than other sports and improves strength and flexibility. Students will learn the basics of a golf swing, posture, grip, the rules and other fun games as it relates to golf. All levels are welcome!!!

Our goal to provide ASE classes to any student at Green Valley that would like to participate. If your student requires a scholarship in order to participate in an Enrichment class, please email the enrichment team and we will work with the Green Valley PTA to try and provide scholarship funding.
